Tom Ford on Gucci catwalk (APTN FILE - Oct 2000) CATWALK KINGS CREAMED AT FASHION AWARDS Two anti-fur protestors were arrested for throwing cakes at fashion doyens Karl Lagerfeld and Calvin Klein during the glitzy arrivals at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards. As one of the female demonstrators was led away she chanted \"fur pimp\", Lagerfeld and Klein were left cleaning cream cake off their expesnive lapels at the celebrity-studded ceremony in Manhattan. Meanwhile, inside the Lincoln Center yesterday (June 14), the cream of the fashion business were paying tribute to Tom Ford, who won the coveted Women\'s Wear Designer of the Year, at a ceremony presided over by the actress Sandra Bernhard. The world\'s leading fashionistas, including super model Naomi Campbell, rap mogul Puff Daddy, American Vogue editor, Anna Wintour and diva Diana Ross, were on hand to applaud Ford for his creative work for Gucci Group\'s Yves St. Laurent Rive Gauche line. Ford has overseen YSL Rive Gauche since Gucci bought the prestigious French ready-to-wear line last year.
