Undaunted by the generalized economic gloom, French designer Sitbon sent out corseted sleeveless dresses and asymmetrical skirt and pantsuits that mixed and matched sumptuous materials to create what she called \"glam rock mixed to Marlene Dietrich mixed to whatever.\" Sequins were one of several sumptuous decorations that Sitbon piled on the collection in layer after luxurious layer. Paillettes dolled up the oversized collars of swingy coats in nubby woolen boucle and cascaded over a sheath dress, shimmering like scales. \"It was all the very luxurious thing but done in a very toned-down way, like what I was saying you know the sequins were rubber and the paillettes were nice but at the same time it\'s kind of simple, said Sitbon. \"It wasn\'t like I do a princess coming out of I don\'t know.\" You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/youtube/5c16daeca069838ef0f1b05e6edfc232 Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork'
