'Sculpture by Chance - CONGREGATIONdesign for SOMERSET HOUSE X FASHION REVOLUTION (FOS 2020)'

'CONGREGATIONdesign has been invited to take part by the Somerset House in London to their live stream event celebrating Earth day in combination with the Fashion Revolution week and the Fashion Open Studio initiative.  SCULPTURE BY CHANCE is a variation on the same approach used through ‘Styling by Chance,’ where the outfits combination are decided by the throw of a dice. In this pandemic era and the Absence of model, we are going to create an alternative presence using clothes and garments by CONGREGATIONdesign & friends. We will create a spontaneous sculpture out of randomly selected garments using a dice. The process will be live-streamed and we will ask participants to throw the dice from home and randomly pick a unique piece from CONGREGATIONdesign and friends collection. One of the collective’s members will share the narrative behind each garment while Masha will create a live sculpture from her garden. The aim is to initiate a creative response to the pandemic and looking again at that pile of garments that you never wear... Could it become a sculpture? Tag it #sculturebychance'
