Born in Rio de Janeiro, A.Z and his family moved to Boqueirão when he was ten years old. A.Z was inspired from watching his aunt Maria make clothes for prominent people in his small town. After he finished schooling, A.Z returned to Rio to pursue a career in acting. There, A.Z worked for Globo and starred in soap operas such as \"Pecado Capital\" and \"Hilda Furacao\". His collection shown last year at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim caused a media sensation and featured Bravo\'s Real Housewives of Atlanta and Miami and included Atlanta-based Cynthia Bailey in the runway show. A.Z\'s swimwear designs have been worn by luminaries such as the winners of the Miss Universe Organization from 2009 and 2010, Adrienne Bailon, Aylín Mújica, Wendy Raquel Robison, Natalia Castro (Big Brother Brasil season 11), Cynthia Bailey, Adriana De Moura, etc. A.Z Araujo collection will combine the sexiness of Brazil with the chic modern presence of the New York consumer.
