They\'re close-fitting, ankle high boots with an elastic panel (instead of laces). They often have a nylon or canvas pull tab that helps you pull the boot onto your foot. Chelsea boots actually date back to the Victorian era and have been worn by both men and women, which makes them a unisex style shoe. Chelsea boots are great for a few reasons: 1. They\'re really easy slip on and off (perfect for airports) 2. They make you 1.25\" to 1.5\" taller (without having to wear elevator shoes) 3. They can be dressed up or down (casual or formal) 4. They set you apart because most guys don\'t have a pair (even thought they\'re popular right now) I think Chelsea boots are a great choice for shorter men. If you\'re wearing lighter color suede boots, they tend to be more casual.
