'The choice to get into some serious work boots is not one to be taken lightly, and once you\'ve decided to invest in some you\'re faced with some choices. I decided to go with Nicks Handmade out os Spokane Washington, USA. Their Builder Pro boot is essentially the same as their famous Hot Shot firefighter boot without the flame resistant sole and thread. Furthermore you can outfit it as you like, with a composite toe, a steel toe, different shanks and patches of leather in high wear areas, even different color leather in rough out or smooth. I chose to go with walnut rough out leather and a honey Vibram sole with mine in an effort to make a tough boot that\'s still ultra comfortable.
